The El Paso Plaza Theatre continues its rebirth. The stage box is nearing completion of its 10 story superstructure. When it is topped off, it will be enclosed and the stage equipment and 60 dressing rooms will be added.
Plasterwork continues with final patching and resurfacing nearing completion. Some repainting is underway and soon much of the fine decorative paint will be cleaned and restored. The annex adjacent to the theatre where a children's theatre will be built is undergoing major reconstruction, and the facility has been cleaned back to only the original building's framing beams.
The project is currently on target for a completion of main theatre restoration in November/December '05 and the annex completed in January/February '06 - all followed by the greatly anticipated grand re-opening.
